Our vision

A society where every individual, regardless of background, has equal access to education, health, and economic opportunities.

Our story

Founded in 2015 by a group of social workers in Pune, Asha Welfare Foundation began with a single school for 50 children in a slum community. Today we reach over 10,000 beneficiaries across 12 branches in Maharashtra.

How 200 Girls Stayed in School Thanks to Our Scholarship Program

In 2024, our merit-cum-need scholarship program prevented school dropout for 200 girls from low-income families across Mumbai. Each girl received ₹12,000 annually along with mentorship, tutoring support, and career counseling. 94% of our scholarship recipients passed their board exams with distinction.

Free Health Camps Reach 8,000 Residents in Underserved Communities

Our mobile health camp initiative conducted 48 camps across 12 Mumbai localities this year, providing free screenings, medicines, and specialist consultations to over 8,000 residents. Early detection saved lives — 23 cases of diabetes and 11 cases of hypertension were identified and treated in time.

Skill Training Program Helps 300 Women Become Self-Reliant

Through our 6-month vocational training program in tailoring, beautician services, and food processing, 300 women from Dharavi and Mankhurd became financially independent. Average monthly income increased by ₹8,000 per household. 45 women started their own small businesses.
